Why support Clear Vision?

We're probably unique in the world: ordained Buddhists with video, photographic, online and educational skills, passionate about communicating the Buddha's timeless ethical and spiritual teachings.

Audio-visual, online and interactive media have the power to communicate in new and exciting ways, especially to young people. Our Buddhist resources for Religious Education in UK schools have been acclaimed as "setting standards for other faiths to follow".

But sharing Buddhist values costs money.

As a registered charity, we depend strongly on dana: the generosity of Buddhists and others, through donations and grants.
Income from sales of materials to schools is not enough to cover our costs, however modest.

With your help, there is so much more we could do.

Where your money will go

Our priorities today:

  • more free, online, interactive Buddhist materials for young people worldwide
  • developing our video-based resources for schools
  • increasing representation of a diversity of Buddhist traditions
  • expand our team to produce more high-quality web-based resources
  • (please see our wish-list for more info)

whilst continuing to:

  • make more archival material freely available online
  • record (and make available online) FWBO events and the teachings the Ven. Sangharakshita

Our overheads are very low:

  • our staff draw very modest financial allowances, each according to need
  • our modest rent goes to a Buddhist landlord: the Manchester Buddhist Centre
